1. We're Afraid of Being Rejected
We put so much time and energy into crafting our public image. We want everyone on the outside to see us as smart, capable and successful. Yet, this fear halts many women to even think of themselves this way, let alone share it with others. What will people say? Will they reject or criticise us?
2. We Fear That No Matter How Hard We Try, It Won't Be Enough
We often think in extremes - either something is perfect or a total disaster. If everything isn't amazing and fascinating, then it must not matter at all. So we don't share our work or insights with others because we feel like it has to be perfect — and in our mind, we're far from perfect.
3. We're Still Dealing With Our Trauma.
There’s a reason so many women feel called to serving others – while also being terrified of stepping into the spotlight. It's because, at a fundamental level, we understand that our scars are what make us valuable to other people - but we're also terrified that showing those scars to people will make us look less.
4. We Spend So Much Time Taking Care of Others, We're Not Aligned With Our True Self
We've been taught to suppress our needs and desires in favour of taking care of others. How often do you take the time to connect with yourself? To take the time to connect with your higher self?
