Glastonbury 2024
Do you feel called to discover your Celtic roots? Do you feel the magic of Celtic witchcraft within you? Do you know you need to start, but not where to start?
Glastonbury is a magical place — rumoured to be where the sacred island of Avalon was located. A place for priestesses to train and to worship the Goddess, the old isle of Avalon has become a mecca for spiritual seekers looking to reconnect with their Celtic heritage. The Tor is a labyrinth in it's own right, and rumoured to be the home of not only many Fae, but also Morgana of the Fae.
On this 5-day retreat you’ll experience all of the magic that the sacred land of Glastonbury (also known as Avalon) has to offer, at the most mystical time of the year. You'll connect with the magic of the Celtic pagans, and participate in witchcraft and priestess rituals.
Lose yourself in the mists of Avalon, known for its ley lines, sacred pagan sites, Arthurian legends, tales of the Fae, and ancient druidic ceremonies. Prepare to be captivated by the strong energies that lie within the land, igniting your inner witch and awakening your spirit.
Our retreat in Glastonbury is no ordinary holiday! Unlike a regular sight-seeing tour, we’ll be immersing ourselves in the land, with experiences not available to the general public. This is a luxurious, exclusive retreat that will imbue you with the magic of Avalon.
Led by our High Priestess and Celtic pagan, Leela Cosgrove, you’ll receive expert guidance throughout the trip so that you can truly understand what you’re seeing and experiencing.
If you’ve ever felt a connection to Celtic witchcraft, to the paganism of the British isles, to the Fae, the druids, or the sacred sites of Stonehenge and Glastonbury Tor — you won’t want to miss this life-changing retreat.
Glastonbury Tor
The Mists of Avalon
Over two thousand years ago, Glastonbury and its surrounding hills were islands in a swampy inland sea called the Sea of Glass. Mists rose from the waters of the sea, shrouding the lands in a mysterious fog. Glastonbury Tor, the highest point in the area, was often all that could be seen through the mists, guarding over the land of the ancient Celts. The area around Glastonbury formed an isle in the Sea of Glass, known as the Isle of Avalon.
Avalon was sacred to the Celts as an isle of enchantment, the meeting place of the dead. It was a place of great power, where one could cross over to other worlds.
The Celts believed Glastonbury Tor was the home to a hidden cave with a passage into the Fae realm of Annwn, a world of delights and eternal youth where disease was absent and food was ever-abundant.
The legend of King Arthur is inextricably linked to Avalon. Arthur was a famed heroic king of the post-Roman Britons in the 5th century, who led his warriors in battles against Anglo-Saxon invaders. His wife was the admired Queen Guinevere, his advisor the magician Merlin, and his sister the powerful witch Morgana. His famed sword, Excalibur, was said to have been forged in the Isle of Avalon, and it was at Avalon that he was fatally wounded.
Between the story of Arthur, the history of the Sea of Glass, the legends of the Fae world, and the beliefs of the ancient Celts, Avalon and modern-day Glastonbury are full of magic and mystery, rising from the mists.

Samhain Wild Hunt Festival
Samhain in Glastonbury
We’ll be visiting Glastonbury during the pagan sabbat of Samhain. Traditionally, Samhain marks the end of the harvest, and the beginning of the coldest half of the year. At this time of year, it’s believed that the veil between our world and the spirit world is at its thinnest.
Samhain is a celebration of both life and death, and the cycle of nature. It’s also a magical and crazy time in Glastonbury where the town is overrun with Witches and Druids!
Private Samhain Ritual
Feel the power of Samhain in the land of the Celts, with a private Samhain ritual. Led by the High Priestess, as a group we’ll cast a circle and call down the great Celtic goddess, The Morrigan. This is an incredible, powerful, unforgettable experience that will further forge your relationship with Celtic witchcraft.
Shamanic Workshop
Partake in a workshop at The Bridget Healing Centre, Glastonbury’s Longest running and most established Healing Centre, with world-renowned Shaman Jay Oakwood. This workshop introduces you to the ancient practice of shamanism. You’ll experience a shamanic ceremony and some loving, gentle, and powerful shamanic healing.
Goddess House
Enjoy a magical night of private ceremony and meditation at the Goddess House, a sacred healing temple run by a group of Priestesses of Avalon.
Private Bath Session at the White Spring
One of the many mysteries of Avalon is its twin healing springs — one coloured red from iron, and one coloured white from calcite. The Temple of the White Spring was erected to honour the magical, healing calcite spring. We’ll visit the temple, hear more about the wonders of the White Spring, then have a private bathing session so that we can immerse our bodies in the magical water. We’ll also visit the gorgeous gardens of the Chalice Well, the home of the Red Spring. This well, situated in serene gardens, is a place of relaxation, healing, and reflection.
Wild Hunt Festival
As fate would have it, our retreat coincides with the Wild Hunt festival, an exhilarating celebration of magical creatures and ancient traditions. Stroll through the streets of Glastonbury, witnessing dragons dance amidst the revelry, or catching a glimpse of the town’s Winter King and his flaming sword!
Guided Meditations
Throughout the retreat we’ll be running guided group meditations to deeply connect you to the land. Unlike the type of meditation where you’re expected to try to clear your mind, these meditations guide you through a captivating and engaging journey, which will connect to your experiences of the day and help you to process them.
Stonehenge
One of the most recognisable monuments in the world, Stonehenge has long held the imagination of everyone who views it. Little is know about the origin and the purpose of the stones, but during our visit you’ll undoubtedly feel their power.
Glastonbury Tor
This ancient and mystical hill rises high above Glastonbury, where its stood sentinel for thousands of years. When we visit, we’ll climb the Tor to the summit. This is a challenging but achievable walk, that rewards you with stunning views and powerful energies at the top. We’ll also visit the sacred Apple Orchard for a ceremony and meeting of the Fae, and Morgaine La Faye.
West Kennet Longbarrow
This peaceful and powerful site is a Neolithic chambered tomb, built in around 3650 BCE. It holds great significance to the Celts, and during our visit you’ll understand why. You’ll feel the unique energy of the chambers, and the history seeped into the very walls.
Glastonbury Abbey
The Glastonbury Abbey was a monastery built around the 7th century. It grew to fame (and wealth) when the monks there claimed they had found the tombs of the legendary King Arthur and Queen Gweniviere. The abbey fell into disrepair in the 16th century, and its ominous ruins remain today for us to visit.
Tintagel Castle
Tintagel Castle is a stronghold along the Cornish coast, long-famed for its connection with King Arthur. We’ll visit the ruins of the castle that once sat atop the cliffs, and make our way down the cliffs to St Nectan’s Glenn, where a stunning waterfall awaits. We’ll also visit the nearby King Arthur’s Hall, a recreation of the court of Arthur.
Stourhead Manor House
This amazing estate, built in the 18th century, hosts a number of recreations of pagan temples, including The Pantheon, the Temple of Apollo, the Palladian Bridge, the Temple of Flora, King Alfred’s Tower and Bristol High Cross. We’ll visit and take the circuit around the lake, which was made to mirror Aeneas’ descent into the underworld.
